I'll confine my improvements to the sports world.

* Pro basketball and hockey playoffs would have to end before Memorial Day.
* The World Series would have to end before Columbus Day.
* All media timeouts would be banned.
* Unless there is an injury, turnover or score, networks would be prohibited from returning from a commercial break, showing the kickoff and then going back for more commercials.
* The minimum age to play in any professional league would be 21.
* There would be some kind of a rollback for golf clubs and balls and 7,000-yard courses would be banned.
* There would be a mercy rule for college football; game is over when a team goes ahead by 40.
* Only amateurs could compete in the Olympics.

I would solve the problems related to health care, offshore drilling, the prison systems (Hello, Joe Arpaio!) and overhaul the tax laws with real, fair and lasting reform. Then I would go to lunch. I would probably take my first afternoon on the job off and go fishing. Then I would return on Day 2 to tackle some other issues.
