The Sixers really just told Iverson to go home, they want to use the minutes to develop some younger players. His daughter is sick and they used that as the reason but really they just didnt want to cut him. He will probably come back the the team for last 4 -5 games go for a last hurrah and then retire.Comment -

Read my earlier post the Sixers basically told Iverson to stay at home - They want to go with younger guys at this point in the season. It not real clear the issues around his daughter but it is not reported to be serious or life threatening.Comment -
Sixers signed Iverson to create a little excitement around the team and most importantly sell some tickets. They also wanted to give Iverson a better sendoff from the NBA then he was getting. They accomplished that and are obviously not going to make the playoffs. So they sent him home when he re-joined the team after his daughters sickness. He will come back for the last few games and get his send-off. He will probably not play again he has a chronic bad knee and his ego will not allow him to accept an off the bench role.Comment -
