Only a guess, but guessing he is making a nice income from both ventures.

Fishing is very profitable, but somewhat dangerous.

Stated just a tad earlier that his ship docks for about an hour a day...........my guess is that is when he posts.

Probably runs into an internet cafe(they abound in Nova Scotia) and grabs a bite to eat and makes his one or two daily posts.
