Loan Sharks charge 30% monthly interest. This guy without any credit rating operated a book and when his book was losing points he made a few big bets at the SBR book to cover his ass to the posters he owed money and proceeded to lose all the players points. Now if you are a bank and a bankrupt business man comes to you for a loan how much interest rate are you going to charge him? 15%..get outta here!

No one at all should be critical of you. The people you owed points to most likely felt they would never see them. Just my opinion but I don't believe the roomie story. At this point it doesn't matter if you did it or your landlord.

Don't get me wrong, it will always be in the back of peoples mind what happened. Hopefully you thought of you spending the time that you did to repay somewhat wipes away what you originally did.

As I said earlier, people do some things in life to mess themselves up. They aren't responsible. You could wait around and hope it goes away on its own, which it won't. You could wake up and realize this sucks and take a proactive approach in trying to rememdy the problem. That is what you did.

I wish I did things like that earlier in life or not gotten myself into messes to begin with.

How old are you by the way? Are you in school, work? Are you responsible with bills or barely get by?

Damn right, don't have the patience to sit around and give up my points everyday. Can't fight off that casino urge. I can tell you that if I am able to win that monthly moneyline contest I'll finally pay those fellas off. Maybe not heathcliff for the moment though, would have to get a freeplay first.

To answer your questions, I am 21 years old and I'm currently a Senior at an Ivy League school. I signed a job offer at the end of last summer and will be working full-time in Las Vegas starting in June.

When it comes to money I've never had any issues at all and have never been late on a payment for anything. I work 3 part-time jobs while I'm in school and have worked at least 40 hours a week every summer.

What happened here was a total oddity in comparison to my real life. I'm just glad I've paid everyone off at this point and can have peace of mind again.
