As devastating as the event itself was ... watching the news channels fill the last 24 hours with live video feeds tracking the upcoming devastation of the Tsunami has been quite amusing ... the interviews with the people in Hawaii were the best -
Reporter: "Tell me about the panic and terror and fear and unsanitary conditions that everyone is having to live in because of the evacuation from the hotels this morning"
People : "Actually there is no panic - were all sat here outside a restaurant on a golf course sipping cocktails, we've just had lunch ... "
Reporter: " Yeah .. but ... tell me about the fear and confusion as you were ripped from your beds at 6am and told to grab your belongs and get enough food and drink for 3 days"
People : "Well management called our room early this morning to let us know where to go, everything was done in an orderly fashion, we had breakfast before we left the hotel, everyone is in high spirits and we expect to be back around the pool within a few hours"
Reporter: "Well - we have to leave it there - I just can't imagine what you poor people are having to endure right now .... "
Me : Whatever ...
Each and every news channel was desperately trying to find anyone at all that had a terror story to tell ... and I didn't see anyone that had one ....
... eventually they reluctantly had to fall back on reporting about the actual earthquake rather than the devastation caused by the gigantic waves of the tsunami that was going to devastate the Islands ...
