    George O'leary "retires early"
UCF winless there year and O'leary quietly fades away.

may be a part of the biggest what ifs of all time after being hired by Notre dame and let go for lying on his resume.

guy was a pretty good coach

Could wiki him but don't care enough ....remember when you could do things like lie on your resume before social media and the internet would bust you.

Was at UTEP for awhile. After that he faded into oblivion. Should have NEVER left Washington St. Bad for him, worse for them.

Price was at Alabama during the 2003 spring practice, but in May his contract was rescinded shortly after news reports surfaced of Price being seen at a strip club during a trip to Pensacola, Florida, where Price was playing in a golf tournament, and he also had about $1,000 charged to his hotel room by an unknown woman staying in the room. This came on the heels of an earlier reprimand for visiting campus-area bars and seen drinking into the early hours in Tuscaloosa

What if's? He had a great career at Georgia Tech, then took an 8 year old program at UCF, went 0-11 in his first year, and turned them into to a respectable Div1 program known for hard hitting, won some conference titles, and went 12-1 two years ago culminating in a Fiesta Bowl win over Baylor. Why do people think coaching at that over hyped Catholic cesspool Notre Dame makes your career more "relevant"? Would think that after ND went 14 years without a single bowl win that idiots would stop treating them like some sort of deity.

It's pathetic how cliquey college football is in regards to it's delusional worship of certain football programs. If he went to Notre Dame, he might have had some success, or he might have been another Bob Davie, Tyrone Willingham, or Charlie Weiss. What' s the difference? He coached, he did a good job, he got paid, now he's retired.

If you want real what if's, how about what if the undefeated 1991 Miami Hurricanes played the undefeated 1991 Washington Huskies. That's a real what if, but we'll never know because of these old, money grubbing elites who didn't want to upset their blessed history and tradition (money) by actually having a real champion with a real playoff like any real sport would have if wasn't controlled by these wretched monarchists.
