Hopefully all the work we've done with earthquake retrofitting and the earthquake preparedness on all new buildings will help limit the damage on all but the largest type of quake. We aren't just a bunch of mud huts.

Lived in the San Francisco Bay Area the majority of my life. Not afraid of any kind of earthquake. Californians aren't afraid either. Still building subdivisions right on top of the San Andreas Fault.

From what I remember when I was an undergrad and had taken a Geology class, the thing to worry about is something that had to do with continental drift and plate tectonics. Apparently there is a Pacific Anatartic Ridge and it is connected to another ridge call the East Pacific Rise and that shit moves super slowly everyday. Once in awhile theres a few bumps.

I live near Napa, which is a epicenter of alot of small earthquakes (3.0-4.5). That shit don't bother anybody. I've been awoken many times in the middle of the night. That shit shakes so hard car alarms go off. I can hear the doors in the house shake. I just go back to sleep. Nothing new to talk about.

The weirdest shit is when it shakes so hard your eyeballs vibrate. I believe that was like a 5.1 or something.

I felt the 89' SF earthquake and I was actually visiting Northridge during their big earthquake back in the day.

Nothing new. Nothing to worry about.
