Tsunami alert in the Pacific area, Earthquake was 110km away from coastline and did have effect in mainland buildings and services, thankfully not that much. Evrything will be alright yet quakes have been very common since Haiti's

Watching the Chilean network there is actually a lot of structural damage but yes, victims thankfully only 7 as of now

47 dead now.........Heard the buildings are better built overall in comparison to Haiti......Also heard the quake is 600 times more powerful than the one in Haiti.....DAMN!

The main one was a 8.8, then two aftershocks of 6.2 and 6.9.

I was in a 6.9 quake once. The Loma Prieta quake near San Francisco in 1989. That was strong enough.

And the 6.9's were aftershocks in Chile.....WOW

No sir, nothing good's going to come out of this. Tose two aftershocks you're talking about are the two biggest, yet about every 1-2 minutes there's another report of aftershocks, some of them between the 4.5-6 range, which is pretty strong already...
