We should be able to vote posters off the site. like an easy checkbox system and if you get enough votes then youre gone- either temporarily or permanently. a lot of votes- like 30 or somethin...that'd be nice.

A funny idea to think about.. but what a terrible concept to put into practice. There's already cliquish groups of folks who've been on this site for a long time with tons of posts... they could just decide to willynilly vote off anyone they didn't like. The site would fall apart pretty quickly.
If you don't like someone... don't read his/her posts!
I don't know if SBR has this or not... but a simpler approach is an ignore list. Add someone to your ignore list and their post just doesn't appear to you when you read the thread.Comment -

2. what cliques are 40-posters deep? none...and sbr survivor is a good idea- assholes would have to start generating some solid picks or they're gone. the same way being a good fisherman and contributing to the tribe can keep you around longer.
3. putting someone on ignore doesnt make someone go away or prevent them from starting threads that spread their moronic sentiments and make the world a worse-off place
