    These Olympics have embarrassed Canada
From the opening ceremony, to the colossal collapse in men's hockey, through last night's redneck-esque behavior by the women's hockey team, Canada has put on a sub-par show as a host of the prestigious games. Warranted talks have also occurred vis a vis biased marks from the judges, not only in regards to men's figure skating and the Plushenko fiasco but the awarding of the bronze last night to Rochette. Clearly it was a generous award, based purely on emotion and not at all on the performance on the ice.

As a long time proud Canadian, I must say in all truth, Canadian athletes and Vancouver, you have embarrasssed me and you have done so with the whole world watching.

Performance of Canadian athletes in sport has been stellar. No one expected them to clean up in the medal department (just look at the books lines for this) and they have produced many winners. The figure skating judging was horrendous and the celebration last night was completely classless and to some degree lawless. May your great nation be strengthened by it's people and may we forever forget it's shortcomings.

The mens team is gonna take gold. How is that a collapse? What cause we lost to USA in the round robin. Lets see how the USA does if they can make the gold medal game against us.

                              blame canada

canada embarresed themselves. a guy dies and they're sayin that changing the course takes away from their home track advantage?? wtf- its the olympics, youre not suppose to have a home track advantage- and they shoulda let (non-canadians) people practice more on that luge track to begin with.

then youve got mens hockey slacking and their questionable celebration methods.
this was somewhat of a disaster.

If you were a long time proud Canadian you would quit smoking the crack and have joined in with the women having a beer and a cigar.

Now to the ignorant dumb **** who said this shows how ignorant Canadians are... holy **** get off the crack as well. Canadians know more about most other countries than the people that live in them do.

Yes- Canada did not help themselves any at all. Acting like some of our childlike Pros in the USA. My personal opinion is they are the same as everyone else. What happened on the ice was disrespectful-just as the clenched fist salute by Americans passed.
