    I can't even watch Sportscenter until Wednesday to avoid highlights when I have a bad week losing a few hundred. I couldn't imagine this scenario. Sickening.

    I know it's hindsight now but I don't know what the Lions were thinking. It's third and short and you've at least got a chance to tie in the bag. You get the first down AND then take your shot. Even if Calvin does score on that play, Seattle still has 1:45 and two timeouts. Had the ML and under parlayed with the Yankees small that paid 15 to 1 but man idk what I'd do in Santa's shoes. Brutal.

    The only game that I can remember similar to this game was last year Ole Miss vs Auburn when Treadwell was going in for the game winning TD with under 2 minutes left and tore up his knee on the 1yard line, fumbled the ball, and Ole Miss lost.

    Seattle could have still came back and won even if CJ had scored. Probably not lot of solace in that tho when you can taste a big score and it doesnt happen.

    that's different because the punting team is the team in possession of the ball before the batting happens. so while it's illegal batting in that case, the penalty is never called because the defense would never accept the penalty. if they did, it would wipe out the safety and the punting team would get to replay the down.
