If a book decides to cut off your horse rebate
without alerting you...shouldn't they still be on the hook for the previous day? I battled with this book for months over it. I just want others opinions... please do not ask which book.. I still play there.

I log-in to check my rebate from the previous days action... it is not there

I go on chat and am informed management decided I am no longer eligible for the rebate.

Should I or Shouldn't I of received the previous days rebate ?

Was there any condition listed in their horse rebates saying "we reserve the right to take this away from someone anytime we feel like it," etc?

There is a disclaimer saying they can discontinue it at its discretion... but.. retro actively ? no. I have no problem with not receiving it going forward once I have been informed... but Im not ok with them doing it all of a sudden and saying the previous days rebate is canceled as well.

I disagree. If a book decides you're no longer eligible for an incentive, you're no longer eligible. They shouldn't be expected to continue giving you something which amounts to a perk up until making you aware that they're taking it away.

Can you read? They can discontinue an incentive/promotion at any time, but you can't retroactively take something away. It's like when bookmaker tries to steal already earned betpoints or BetOnline tries to take aways bonuses months later. You can't do that.

We can infer from this statement that nobody sent a notice to him that the rebate was no longer going to be given to him. Meaning, it wasn't actually 'retroactive'. They decided on day X that he was no longer going to be credited the rebate, which their racebook rules allow. The dispute here is whether it's poor form that he wasn't immediately made aware not to expect the rebate for that day, until he initiated contact himself to find out why it wasn't credited.

it's not for THAT same day. It was for the previous days action. I had no problem not receiving a rebate on the action i placed on the day they told me.
