I don't, but I know people who have and ran into serious problems (stiffed for big $) as a result. I'm sure it depends a lot on the individual, but even if I trusted the guy I would only feel comfortable betting small amounts.

They get touchy around here talkin about locals is all HSP! Didn't mean to come off as a smartass. Posters are always asking how they can find a local & stupid shit like that. It's irritating as hell. How am i or anybody else supposed to find someone a bookie or tell you how to? If you don't know how to find a bookie you don't need to be gambling, or operating a vehicle, or going outside alone, because you're a fukin idiot!

If you have established ones they are great and if they use internet sites even better where you do not have to call but just settle

The biggest draw to betting with a local is money transactions, cash only

I used a "man" for many years. Stopped using them when online started. Not too many problems but online is much more easy to do. I do not have to meet a runner somewhere etc.

Locals the best IMO. Weed out the bad ones and can make serious coin. We use the net and fax for everything and works great.

That's what I'm beginning to think....The guy I use sets up all our fantasy leagues and holds the cash. This is my first year using him. But in the past my brother goes over to his house and does the fantasy drafts there and the guy has a couple kegs in his bar downstairs. So we know who the guy is, my brother has golfed with him multiple times, the guy seems like he can be trusted.
