SBR: $2 tip for pizza?

Calculate the cost of gas to and from the pizza store, you know the gas you would have to pay for when going to the store to pick up the pizza yourself.

Also add in wear and tear on his car, his time, etc. and a $2 tip is basically a stiff job.

Randy...did you read the post or was the length of the post too tiring for your lips? I am referring to the classless fools who criticize SBR for a tip that is too small. Bring it up to Domino's they pay him, we just tip him.

If SBR wants to take that stance, they can give the players the money they earn off of us from signups and advertising instead of a pizza.

Onner,
pizza guys usually get 25-50 cents a mile, hourly wage, and tips. I know a few pizza guys around here who make 100-150$ a night all said and done

Exactly. I think $2 is a bit on the low side. But it's a FREE pizza! When I first ordered, I didn't assume that SBR would leave any tip, and why? Because they just paid $14 for a pizza! I added in another 2-3 dollars on the tip. All in all, I got a pizza delivered to me for $3. I love it.

And how about you pay the people who patronize your place of business a little piece of your paycheck. SBR is a business not a philanthropic endeavor. You can certainly make the case that these pizzas add to their bottom line by enticing players to visit the site and contribute. No argument there. However, once they've fulfilled their obligation by paying for the pizza, essentially their part of the bargain is complete. The tip is just pure class. And by the way, if you're a waiter or bartender, I assure you, you want me as a customer.

All the pizza places here charge at least $2 for delivery as well, if they aren't passing that on to the pizza delivery guy that's hardly the customers fault. That and a $2 tip should suffice unless you live in an outlying area or have some other specific need that is additional to a routine delivery.

Look, it's a very easy fix. Throw the kid a deuce and make his night. That's what I would do but to chastise SBR for a tip that is in line with an average tip is ridiculous. I'm with you Smitch.

Guys the bottom line is this. SBR had no obligation whatsoever to tip these drivers a red cent. They fulfilled their obligation by paying for the pizza. That's it. For them to even take into account that you would not tip the driver is a clear indication that they understand and appreciate the little people that factor into the equation. I applaud SBR and everyone involved for not strictly thinking dollars and cents but rewarding those who make this whole arrangement possible. That my friends is class.
