hey guys im gonna be takin my 1st trip to vegas and have some q's

1) has anybody stayed in the one bedroom suites? was it worth the extra $$$ than a standard room?

2) does the sportsbook have a high limit for bets?

3) anybody hit the clubs there?

dude its not worth staying there... u are away from everything.. if u want to do anything outside of the hotel u have to have to take a cab..

best bang for the buck is the venetian.. my favorite hotel is ceasers

The Nine Steakhouse is the best steak in town. The vibe is cool with a ton of eye candy. The Ghostbar which is on the 43 floor of the hotel, has a superb view of the strip. Make sure you go there after your dinner at Nine Steakhouse for a after dinner drink. Rain Nightclub is OK because it's not my thing. If you are looking for dinner with a view, Alize, its fine dining restaurant, is completely glass enclosed with an excellent view and awesome wine list.

Palms is off the strip, not my first recommendation for someone going to Vegas for the first time. I have stayed at the Palms many times and like it very much. That's my brief review.

palms is behind venetian, howard stern does his show from their claims to be the hottest girls around the pool areas ,alot of Hollywood hanging out, my thing in vegas is combo resturants and shows , gambling is good in many places i am not leaving my sons fortune their lol

Palms is not behind the Venetian. Palms is west of the strip on Flamingo. Venetian is great but the Palms is the consummate hipster joint.

I stayed at the Palm's Place right next to the Palms. It was a 20k a night suite with s basketball court inside. It was insane. I didn't pay but had the chance to party in it for a night. The fee was split between my brother and 12 other guys.

i dont know how many miles it is.. but like i said.. you can not CAN NOT walk to anywhere from there.. it is that far off..

so if you want to get drunk and roam around.. u will have to take a cab to the main strip..

The palms is a nice place man, don't get me wrong.. but if its your first trip to Vegas DONT DO IT!! Stay anywhere on the strip over that place.. you will be able to bounce to as many places as you want.. seriously the Venetian or Mirage, or Ceasars are all centrally located so you can go to like a hundred different places all without getting into a car...

now granted it ain't hard to get a cab in that town.. but on the weekends you can be stuck in "Strip Traffic" for what seems like forever..

First Trip to Vegas.. you have to stay on the Strip Homie..

But i am just like you.. i went to vegas for the first time last FEb and asked the board for help... since then i have been to vegas 6 times and Reno once...

And I am very happy i stayed at the Venetian my first trip!!!

if you are there to be with your girl or just gamble then go for it.. stay at the Palms..

if you want to soak up as much as vegas as possible.. don't stay there..

its not easy because there isn't a walkway.. it's via main streets and highway and traffic.. as far as skateboarding on the strip.. i am not sure if the cops will be down with that.. u might get away with it during the day.. but at night there will be to many people for you to deal with it.. plus do you really want to walk around the Casino with your Deck? or Stand at the Ticket line trying to get a sports bet in with your deck in the other hand???

Plus you are never going to get comped anywhere walking around with a skateboard.. thats just my two cents..

You just said you were going to skate down to the strip....what are you going to do with it when you get down there and want to go in places? If you want to just skate down to the strip and skate back.....well then I guess that would make sense but I don't see point in doing that. Am I missing something?

Their sportsbook is on the small size, but not bad. When I was last there I saw Rashad Evans and his crew headed into the Palms.

Seniors ( locals) by day, but a night spot for the younger crowd. I wouldn't stay there again.

if you aren't a baller and aren't going to get a pimp suite and just throw money around like crazy.. i wouldn't stay at the Palms homie.. the palms is great for ballers and celebs because its off strip and they don't have to leave the hotel for anything.. which is usually a hassle for a celeb.. so they like going there , because its nice and fits their needs... but other then that.. its not the full vegas experience..

u haven't lived until you have booked a bet at the hilton.. then played beer pong at Oshea's .. then Eaten Mushrooms while wandering through Ceasar's ... only to watch your friend loose his ass to Bill's Gambling hall for 3k on the blackjack tables..

Is everyone on here crippled? It's an easy, safe walk with nice pedestrian walkway to get over the railroad and highway. Just make sure you're on the Gold Coast side of the road.

Don't let these guys deter you. If you like to walk, you'll enjoy staying at the Palms.
