I agree. You can ride a hot goalie a long way in the Olympics and NHL playoffs. Jim Craig was incredible in the 1980 Olympics.

Canadians have no chance against Russia! They have huge guys who are slow as elephants...Getzlaf, Perry, Pronger. US just as Swiss had small quick and sharp guys , the last empty net goal was exactly what I am talking about... They need small fast guys like St.Louis or Lecavallier and they lack finishing power. If you don't have speed and finishing power, you can not win. Canadian team looks like group of 85 year old's and that is pathetic considering that they are playing at their home Olympics! 80-s are over there are no more Gretzky, Lemieux and Coffey.

I rather watch nba basketball, much more entertaining and better athletes. In USA way too many warm climates to have hockey a top sport. It is just hard to know any guys in hockey, in NBA players and coaches are much more visible and tv coverage way better. Listen to me hockey is dead in the usa.

the NBA is an awful product-and I loved the NBA in the 90's. I haven't been interested or able to sit through a game in years, especially when the college product is so much better

there are plenty of NBA/NHL cities where the NHL team outdraws the NBA counterpart. just east coast alone, off the top of my head the NHL team beats out the NBA team in NY, Philly, and DC.
