The Olympics are so fvcking hilarious. I have been watching all week and all the time the announcers are saying "so-and-so actually was born in and lives in country X and found a way to get citizenship in country Y so he could compete on country Y's team."

People just want to compete, they don't care who it s for.

USA is coached by a Canadian. Their GM is a dual US/Canadian citizen.

Unfortunately you are 100% correct. It's pretty bad when you have this dude (the snowboarder who looks like a chick and carrottop dude) makes $8 million in sponsorship. It's just not right. I think Olympic hockey should be for junior aged players like the World Junior hockey tourney.

Why all this hate for the olympic hockey? This is a great way to truley show what country has the most hockey-talent. I don't see any problems with people representing the team of their roots. If you are born in Canada but one of your parents is German then of course you should be able to chose to either represent Germany or Canada.
