18 years would put the black kid at at least 38. I think 30s is about right. Sounds true. Too bad he has his mom's funeral two days later, that's what he was sad about. But 'non-facts' ... it was a casual conversation. He was probably from the Chicago burbs, got drafted, never went to Nam, but served during ... then did some time in Prison for weed.. then .. probably lived with his mom and worked a bit. Now he's getting a measly ss check, when they don't f it up... and getting by.

Believe me, taking the bus around Oakland, you will get in knife and even gun fights (or near fights/threatening situations/etc). I wouldn't say he's exaggerating too much.

I think he should kill the black guy though, cuz he said 'i'm a kill him' when he was waiting for an ambalamps. But I'll keep my opinions to myself.

I guess everyone else is a shrink so here's my take: Epic Beard Man was worked up over his mom's death and that's why he fired back at the negro verbally, instead of letting it go... leading to the negro initiating the assault.
