    So Sammy was a bookie on SBR, laughuable.
    Who would send that clown money when you could use your own local or even an online operation would be better than Sammy. I wouldn't ban Sammy, I'd ban everyone who played with him for being that stupid.

            Actually there is nothing wrong with betting with a local at all. Lots of people prefer it because they like the "personal touch" and enjoy betting with the weekly settle up system. And when they win they are beating someone they actually know of in person which makes it funner, not some big corporation-styled book where players are just known as numbers.

                  Not to mention lots of people also do not like the hassles of cashing checks or creating paper trails to send/withdraw money. Or do not want their wives/family to see they are betting.

                  Point is, maybe you can bash Sammy but playing with a local is the way it's always been since the beginning of time before this whole offshore thing came about not too long ago.
