Accenture who dropped Woods as a sponsor is hosting their World Match Play tournament this weekend---and Woods planned his announcment for tomorrow.

And even the national media is calling him out.

Rick Riley of ESPN called him "dumb".

The NY Post called his p.r "amateur at best".

SI's Mark Davis called Woods "shockingly clueless, it is as if he isn't aware of the magnitiude of his problems".

Woods' press conference tomorrow is going to cause more of a shitstorm than he can imagine.

He won't be answering questions, I can't wait for him to show up at Bay Hill and watch the questions. Fun times ahead.

Jalen Rose this morning on ESPN2 made an ass of himself trying to defend Tiger. He basically said a company has no right to break an endorsement deal because of private behavior. Former athletes should never try to defend bad behavior by current athletes.

Rick Riley has been hammering Tiger from the first day the story broke. Personally, I think Riley is joke who has nothing better to do than kick a man when he is down. Also, any PGA tour player who says anything bad about Tiger should get their heads examined. If it wasn't for him they wouldn't be playing for millions of dollars every week. I don't agree with what he did but everyone makes mistakes. The only difference is that we handle ours behind closed doors and Tiger is trying to put his life back together in front of the entire world. We will see what these so called "reporters" are saying when Tiger wins a few majors. Lastly, good luck to Ernie the next time he goes head to head with Tiger.

I laugh at these kind of statements. It's usually people that have never played golf that make 'em. Golf has been around way before Tiger Woods was ever thought about and will be there long after. There were stars such as Palmer and Nicklaus (whose record for majors will likely never be broken) before Tiger.

USAToday has a fascinating article imagining golf without Tiger. Here are some amazing stats compiled by Jim Halley of USAToday:

Purses: There were nine PGA Tour millionaires in 1996. Last year, there were 78. From 1986-'96, the total purse on the PGA Tour increased $37.5 million. In the Woods' decade, the 10 years since, the purses have jumped $186.1 million.

Ratings: Sean McManus, President of CBS News and Sports, says Woods has had a direct effect on the growth of golf on TV, with ratings spiking 35% to 50% for regular tour events and major championships when Woods is in contention. Last weekend The International, minus Woods, drew a 2.1 rating. A few weeks earlier, the Buick Open, which Woods won, drew a 4.3 rating.
