I agree. It used to be really easy for me to rail against the machine. As early as elementary school I organized bands of anti-establishment riff-raff and one time we even wrote a petition and got a recess aid fired (the principal a friends father told me as much many years later). I relish the role of devils advocate and routinely take the side of the disenfranchised in an argument just for the sport of the argument. I often think this is why I attended law school.

Perhaps it is because I have mellowed, or perhaps it is because I AM taking the opposite viewpoint in these instances, but something about the way people conduct themselves in this perceived us vs. them seems maligned.

Some of how people act is assuredly genuine and there are many well founded criticisms of any establishment but it seems to me that some unanswered criticisms have sit and festered in the minds of people leading them to galvanize their position in a stand of defiance.

This really has nothing to do with Sammy booking, just something I wanted to get off my chest. I really hold no rancor for anyone past or present (except maybe Chi_Arcie) just observing... with a good dose of analysis as well.
