he's neither 15 or 50. But regardless, he followed the guy and punched him. The other man was acting in self defense. That is at least partially the reason why everyone rightfully sides with him. The other guy should have listened to the old lady who told him to chill out.

Old guy grabs knife handle, does some martial move and slices up the ese's hand. I guess he got the knife by the handle and then pulled it away cutting the wanna-bes hand up. Wanna be got back on the train, leaked all over then got off again, tried to run down the tracks to a street 1 block away and got arrested by the cops.

GREAT30, there's no way you can defend the kid. He's instigating the entire conflict. Even if the old guy is only 50 (and I want to know what kind of "fact" checking we have on that point), there's no excuse for the other dude's conduct. None.
