The Trail Blazers and Clippers have completed a trade sending MArcus Camby to Portland for Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw and cash considerations, sources told CBSSports.com.
The deal, which fills the void left by season-ending injuries to centers Greg Oden and Joel Pryzbilla, received league approval Tuesday afternoon, sources said.
The cash -- upwards of $3 million -- makes the deal a winner with money-minding Clippers owner Donald Sterling. The Blazers get Camby, a solid basket defender whose $7.7 million expiring contract makes him the perfect rental for a team that somehow has survived an avalanche of injuries to remain in the Western Conference playoff hunt.
Blake ($4.9 million) and Outlaw ($4 million) also come off the books July 1, so it would be a cap-neutral deal for both teams.
