A strange story about Betcris Customer Service.....
    Hello!

I am thinking of playing with Betcris for a long time, as I won now on the NFL Betcris game, I wanted to make a deposit to the account, to be able to receive my winnings, and try them.
I believed I have account with them for months....

I didn't remember the acc.nr, so I asked the live help to help me recover it, and after a few minutes, I got it....

I could log in with it later, but when I tried to enter the acc.nr and pass in the cashier menu, I got an error message, something like that my infos are not correct....

After it I contacted the live help again to what could be the problem, after 15 minutes of "thinking" and "trying", I got the reply, that the acc.nr I received previously was my betdsi account nr, not the Betcris one....than she asked my address, just my address, nothing more, and she gave me an acc nr and a password (!)....

Then came the surprise....I logged in, and I found myself at the account of somebody else....yes, the city, country, and given name was the same, but all other infos (name, street adr, zip) was different, so I realised that I got the infos of somebody else....ugh....I instantly said that this is not my account, but I received no reply at the live chat....I waited 10 minutes, than disconnected, and connected to live help again.

It was "CS - Kate" again, and without further speaking, I copy the chat text here:

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
All operators are currently assisting others. Thanks for your patience. An operator will be with you shortly.
You are now chatting with 'CS - Kate'
CS - Kate: Hi, May I have your account number and password please?
    you: Hello!
    you: We just talked
    you: It seems you disconnected
you: after giving me the account nr and password
    you: but
you: the acc nr and pass you gave me are someone else's
    you: not mine!!!
you: Same city and country and surname, but all other infos (street, zip, second name etc....) are different
CS - Kate: may I have your XX acct number again pls
    you: XX******
CS - Kate: under ******** , this is the only acct that we have in our data base
CS - Kate: there are some more, but different last name
CS - Kate: you do not have an acct with betcris sir
you: But when I go to the cashier, the infos say that it's the account of "********" with totally different address than mine
you: (I mean with the "AR" infos you gave me)
CS - Kate: yes , by mistake i give you someone else acct number
CS - Kate: that is not you
CS - Kate: you do not have an acct with betcris sir, no under **********
    that is not you
you: Than I will create one, thank you...
    you: Good Bye!
    CS - Kate: yw
    CS - Kate: bye

So I got someone else's account nr and password "by mistake"....what if next time someone else gets my acc.nr and pass by mistake? I mostly heard good news about Betcris before, but this story didn't really convince me that my money would be safe with them

    Wow! So much for security.

You've got to send an official complaint to betcris. Kate didn't just make a mistake, she screwed up big time. Simply asking for your address is not what I call a secure system.

You say you gave her your address. Was that your full address? And it didn't even match the account you were given?

Yes, I gave her my full address.
And I got someone else's account's infos with password.....

The country and city was the same as mine (not a big surprise, it's the capital of my country), and the given name was the same too....but nothing else....different zip, street adress, family name.....

Send an email to ant@2betdsi.com (customer service manager) explaining the situation. Kate and others need to be aware of that obvious failure in security.

Kate!!! I bet 'her' real name is Brian and she's an overweight, hairy ex-trucker from Arkansaw with B.O. Where do they get these names from?

fixxer, isn't it the case, that in your country names are reversed, that is surname first, then followed by forename? :+firework

Yes, that's true, in my country, the names are reversed, we use the family name first, and the given name second - in this case, the given name was the same with the one whom account's infos I got, but I guess it doesn't matter in this case!

Nothing...I emailed the story to the manager, asked politely about his opinion, but no answer since that....

the crazy thing with my situation is the person who hacked into my account actually was able to change my password (not sure if they offer this option through the site itself, or if they called someone)...if they did call someone, the CS person did not ask enough information to make sure it was me...

It seems that the security of Betcris is very very weak.....or at least the CS has a few persons who doesn't know their rules ?!

fixxer, I would definitely say the latter is true...just like the referral bonus deal...it says on their site that referral bonuses are made on deposits of $300 or more at 10%...it also says to wait one week and call back to have the bonus credited...yet most of the CS reps tell you it has to be a deposit of $500 or more and you have to wait two weeks...to me, that means they are hoping you'll forget about it so they don't have to give the bonus...now maybe that's not the message management wants sent, but the floor clerks are definitely sending that message...really a shame, because viral marketing (word of mouth) is one of the most effective ways to advertise...

I've always just called that "trolling the forums for referral bonuses from total strangers" .... maybe I haven't been using the proper terminology.

busted for what? being a whore about referral bonuses? guilty as charged...lol...I believe in the thread you copy and pasted, I answered questions regarding books I recommended to him, with Cris being one of those...my opinion at covers has weight, as I hope it does in this forum...I've gotten over $900 in referral bonuses this year alone, and that sure cuts down on the ammount of juice I don't pay at the end of the year...trust me, Cris, Pinnacle, matchbook, bodog and skybook (the only 5 books I play with) are definitely getting their money's worth, I can promote their sites better than most people that work for them...I still like TacoMax's busted sign...lol...

here's me going for a referral bonus:

I thought $900 would be more like loose change for you pags rather than something to boast about.
