if you can at least get yourself started and get a few weeks under your belt, you'll start seeing results and that will be good motivation. Just think about where you'll be in a year if you get yourself in there regularly. You'll look better, feel better, and live longer. Also, think about getting a partner. For me, motivation hasn't been a problem, i enjoy it. There are some days i don't feel like going, but once i get myself in the door it's all good.

I wonder what the % of people have completely quit within a month of signing up, it has to be so high. I can't even begin to count how many one and dones i've seen come through my gym. Guy's sign and year contract and you never see 'em again.

A lot of people doing this, me included, paying that enrolment fee, go two times and quit. The worst is when you sign up for a year and you can't get out because they will damage your credit score. At least I'm on month to month basis now so I can quit whenever I want.

I will try to start the Monday...like you said, when you start seeing results it will become fun.

Make sure you know what you're doing. If you go in there clueless, you won't feel like you're making progress and you'll lose interest quickly. I have notebooks full of workout routines i've done for years. If you don't have a clue what to do in there, do some research and HAVE A PLAN when you go in, from day 1. If you want, PM me, tell me what you're looking to do and i can give you some ideas and help you make a plan. Having a plan and creating goals are hugely important.

i specialize in helping ectos grow and bulk up, but i'm assuming most people here are endos looking to do the opposite. older women who are in shape know exactly what to do to slim down. beauty means everything to these women because it's all they have and are obsessed with weight loss.

I have a weight bench at home. Not as good as my buddies, b/c mine doesn't have the butterfly. I use his whenever possible for that purpose. I do a total of 12 upper body exercises one day, and 6 lower body excercises the next.

I work out at least 6 days a week, most weeks 7. I spend a total of 2-3 hours a day working out. Running and lifting.

It's a b_itch. I hate every day of it. Not to mention 3-4 protein shakes a day. Damn it! It would be easier to just sit on my computer and drink alcohol and eat big macs. But years from now when I'm 50 years old I want to look like Hollywood Hogan and not in a f_ucking hover round asking my wife to cut my rally's (checkers, carl jr.) burger up for me.

Tricep curls used to be fun.

Benching used to be fresh and cool.

But, sooner than later you realize it does f_ucking suck. Just set yourself a schedule. Make yourself do your s_hit so you can f_uck off and drink 1,000+ calories of bourbon late at night and post on internet gambling forums-- thats what I do!

then powerlifting and the right diet will help you develope what everyone wants to be- a brick s_hithouse that wins! I stress to you, the right diet is absolutely necessary in getting rid of belly fat, if thats what you're aiming for.

I don't know man, i definitely wouldn't recommend lifting weight at 6 or 7 days a week unless you're on steroids or you're doing like a really easy lift routine that isn't even stimulating your muscles. Lifting 3 or 4 of those days and running the other 2 or 3 might be ok, still, rest is key. Each major muscle group needs at least 2 days rest to recover or they'll never build up.

What do you mean you do a total of 12 upper body one day and 6 lower the next? do you do 12 sets of upper body exercises, as in 3 exercises with 4 sets for each exercise, or what? i'm just curious.

I don't need motivation, it's in me, but for some people its different. I love going to the gym and working out. Maybe to get you motivated I can tell you that there are some hot girls hitting the gym so go for the girls. The best motivation for you can also be have a partner to go with, hopefully they allowed guest.

Going to look at hot chicks is good motivation for a day or two. But unless you start talking to them that gets old. The motivation would be to continue to go to the gym and get in shape and then maybe holler at those chicas in there.

I do the following for my PM work out:

                                      day 1:

                                      bench press

                                      butterfly

                                      bicep curl

                                      upright row

                                      military press

                                      top inclined bench press

                                      middle inclined bench press

                                      lower inclined bench press

                                      declined bench press

                                      bent over row

                                      lateral raise

                                      at 3 sets

*2 miles at 7:00 per mile

                                      Day 2

Leg lifts- only as a warm up. I belive it is bad for your knees

                                      Squats

                                      Dead Lift

                                      Leg Curls

                                      Calf Raise

                                      at 3 sets

Swim Kick ( once, usually around 3 mintues using a swiss ball)

*1 mile at 7:00 per mile

                                      Day 3:

                                      Repeat.

I'm not acting like some powerhouse f_uck. Fact is I'm not a brick s_hit house by any means.

And as you mentioned, it is somewhat unhealthy to work out every day like a muscle crazed a_sshole.

I just have to stay positive because I'm always drinking and gambling so, it's either all or nothing. At least I can be a buff degenerate

No but seriously, every day I feel weak. I have pains in different parts of my body weekly. It is very unpleasant.

A few days ago I was going dead lifts, and it wasn't even that much weight and all of a sudden i felt very sleepy and got a little dizzy. so i sat down for a few mintues. then I jogged a mile and everything was fine!

Most people do not go to gyms even with memberships
The time it takes to go and come home you lose at least 30 minutes
stay home do sit ups, push ups, chin ups, some exercises with dumbells and that will do just fine
