#36Switch them right now, I still give Ray the edge because of size, he can give a little more resistance on D. I think Reggie was better than Ray or atleast looked to be better. That big 3 that the Bucks had was more loaded than any Pacers team. I have a hard time seeing this kid turning into a guy that you can build a team around. Put him with a playmaker like Lebron or a big 2 guard that can handle and let him play of ball and get open shots he will look good as a 2nd or 3rd option, but I don't see him being the 1st option on successful team like Miller. All that written I will take him over Bibby right now.Comment -

#38I see Curry having a chance as being a B grade Gary Payton. But it's hard to run a pure point with the Warriors, and especially when you have Ellis as your other guard. I expect the warriors to trade Ellis in 2011/12/13 or just let him go (stupid). If they don't they will just extend their high scoring no defense ways, and get beat down by top teams continually for another 10 years.Comment -

#39he could pull out a few crazy late game clutch preformances late in his career, the same way Reggie did. If Reggie doesn't go off in MSG while talking trash to Spike Lee or hit those 3's in the waning seconds against the Knicks, he's looked at differently. Because of NY media and the stage he was on, it was all blown up.Originally posted by JohnAnthony
Do you think we might see something of him that we haven't seen yet?
Ray could pull some finals heroics out of his ass or makes some big threes against Lebron and the Cavs or do this or do that, and it will change our perception of him. Ray Allen was one of the best in the league until he got to the C's, he's just being overshadowed now.Comment -

#41Being a B-grade Gary Payton ain't that bad. That being said, GP was the glove, a shutdown defender. Curry would be more like the loose fitting sock. He isn't shutting down anyone.Originally posted by bigsassysterI see Curry having a chance as being a B grade Gary Payton. #45I was either 15 or 16 at the time. I was at a camp at Duke during the summer and made it to the finals against Curry. Beat him in front of Dell and Coach K. He got the better of me in a scrimmage a day or two later though.Originally posted by JohnAnthony

#51I don't know how to compare my ratings to yours but I was a decent 5'10 (!!!) point-guard from 9th to 11th grade. I started catching some height right after I stopped playing basketball

#52Of course I do in some ways. Nothing beats playing ball, but I was never going to be good enough to make a living of it so I have to focus on the degree instead.Originally posted by JohnAnthonyInteresting. Hope you don't regret it.
Now I just have to enjoy the small memories like beating Curry, and even some of the less good ones like having Jason (Jay now) Williams cross me up so badly I fell.

#57You were definitely better then i was. I know because of the guys you were playing against and the fact that i never had anything more then a d3 offer. I was 6'1 when i graduated, we were 2nd ranked team in VA but blew it in the tournament. I shot to 6'3 or so in college but went to a D1 school and never played anything more then intramurals there. I never got on the court with the likes of Jwill or Curry. I played against some decent guys but not that caliber.Originally posted by JohnAnthonyI don't know how to compare my ratings to yours but I was a decent 5'10 (!!!) point-guard from 9th to 11th grade. #59Did williams play in isreal? and also, i am so f'ing out of shape it makes me sad right now. I don't look all that out of shape but i'm already starting to have some problems with my knees and i can't breath after running up the court 3 times. For some reason, i rarely even play pick-up ball anymore, maybe it's this forum?Originally posted by JohnAnthony
