Taking a break for a few days
I will try to be around and stay tuned with the happenings but he last 2 days were a complete disaster. Went from +26.5u to -35u within 48 hours.

90% Bankroll management and tilt control.
    10% Handicapping.

Tail G'sPks. You'll have an incredible record. You'll be down units but your record will shine and it will help with your state of mind.

J.A., there are those that say they are taking a break and they should avoid the forum as well due to the temptation that comes with it. However you seem to be level headed enough to be able to hang out and still partake in the entertainment aspects of Players Talk and still take your break from wagering. I hope my read on you is correct and you will still take part in thread activity even if it's not sports related.

Never retreat never surrender. Load up again and hammer the books. The only chance you have winning is reloading.

JA, breaks are a good thing from time to time.. Hope you can still hang around PT and shoot the breeze with us, but if not, i do understand.. Take some time, have some fun, and come back playing again with more focus and determination than ever..

I've been playing strictly on fake SBR money until I get paid this week. Getting buried in the SBR book doesn't seem as bad.

Thanks all for the replies, appreciate your words of encouragement, I really do.

I have decided to keep the sportsbetting going after all - every time I lost my bankroll (or a huge part of it) I felt like I learned something new, hopefully from now on the things I learn will be less about my angry, greedy self but rather about handicapping. It's been about to time for a long time.

Thanks for the compliments Wal. I love this place and will always be part of it as long as I'm welcomed to - I'm not the "hype" kind of members. This place provides much of the needed entertainment I am enjoying right now. Cheers mate.

I have my temptations as well.

I didn't lose any money today but didn't make any either. There's just days you cant buy a game. Every game I've played in the contests went disasterous. If I had played all them today I'd be down like hell.

Take about a 3 day break & don't even think about sports or gambling come back refreshed

That's a tough one byronbb. I'm the last to tell anyone to look at the bright side, but at least you are doing better than me and 80% of other cappers. Cheers and may your stretch soon turn green!

Thank you Masu, that means a whole lot to me.

I am sure to encourage and be nice whenever possible, but with my minimal knowledge in handicapping, I never expected to make a positive impact on a poster here.

I hope your run continues as far as it can go, and I hope you will keep the same attitude and not lose confidence when those streaks go the other way sometimes. I have failed the big test, and I wish the contrary to you.

Keep me posted man, I hope to see you flowering long-term.

I closed January on a 0-6 run in the NBA, but hit my lone play of February to break out of it last week. Put me at 19-14 on NBA underdog ML's, after being 18-8 before the slump. Its the first time in the last 3 NBA seasons I can remember going on anything more then a 5 game losing streak. Sheit happens though. The NBA All Star break is a good time to take a "break". NASCAR starts this weekend though.
