back in the early 90's i worked at meadowlands racetrack. I had this guy come up and bet $20 to win on a horse. He was struggling to find his money. Anyways, he said he must of lost it. So he digged in his wallet and then handed me 20 $100 bills- thinking it was 20 singles. I was amazed, shell shocked. Meanwhile, I am an 18 year old kid at the time living on my own in jersey. I thought it was a joke. But he didn't ask for change. I acted like it was 20 singles myself. I put it in the $1 dollar section of my draw. Then I took a smoke break right after that bet. I ended up going back in my draw and putting 20 singles in for those 20 $100 bills. So, of course i didn't give it back. I ended up staying at the Big M that night after my shift ended and betting it out. I came home with a little over $5500 after hitting some win tickets on some favorites at cal expo and los alamitos (the two tracks running late that night). I seen the guy the next day, he never said a thing.
He was drunk when he handed it over. So I did not feel bad. Because if it wasn't me, then it would of been the bartender. Maybe, I just say that to make myself feel better for all the guilt.

Till this day, I still have the money. I remember sending it off to my brokerage account at fidelity. That was when I bought my 1st stock.
