Help me! Trying to decide Jeep vs Toyota FJ
JEEP Grand Cherokee Laredo 6 cyl

    $49,000

    4x4 2010

    OR

    Toyota JF Cruiser 2010 gasoline

    $54,900

Oh, those are Costa Rica prices by the way. I heard it was cheap to live there... about as true as Adam Meyer betting a million dollars on the Superbowl. You get raped on imports and since everything is imported....

OK, I think I can get the Toyota for maybe 52 or the Jeep for 48.5. The 3.5 is important but not a huge deal. I want to keep the car for like 4 years. Any advice?

The FJ Cruiser is just a bad retro design Toyota did to compete with Land Rovers. I would buy american and go with the Jeep. Much better vehicle.

Pavy, I had a Jeep in 05 and was darn good, no complaints.

More options? I looked at the Nissan Murano but its 58. Looked at the VW's and the Audi's. Loved that Q7 but cant afforf it at $77k.

Read this link. The FJ Cruiser was voted 6th worst car by consumer reports. My suggestion is to test drive it first and see if you like the visibility, handling and noise. Nothing beats a good ole test drive. Take it both on and off road.

Yea thanks, I had already heard about the bad visibility, that does concern me. And I'm not the greatest driver to start with. Probably be better if I left my Neil Young and Rush CDs at home and sobered up a bit.
