I doubt Ivey would push that kind of money on Indy, but you never know.
years ago, Phil Mick used to call in to the Dan Patrick show with his NFL picks. He is a definite line watcher.

Doesnt surprise me about Ivey. I used to see him at the Taj all the time when he was underage borrowing 20 bucks from people to play 1-3 stud. Mickleson is a big sport bettor. He won like 700k a decade ago putting a futures bet on the ravens to win the super bowl when he was in vegas the summer before the 2000 season.

Makes for a good story. The big bookmakers in Costa Rica claim Billy's beards were betting New Orleans taking only a small position. Of course hindsight is 20/20 but as settle week gets under way its completely obvious the sharp crowd won big while the public was buried alive. A book like Pinnacle who was baiting the line offering -4.5 when everyone else had -5 or even -5.5 made many millions. As was mentioned in the Billy Walters thread IF sharp action comes in the line goes up. Bookmakers all week were watching their sharp customers and they were taking NO. Thats why the line melted back despite the public pouring money on the colts. Follow the money and not these deceptive fluff stories.

From Wikepeida: Ivey is part of the design team for Full Tult poker . He can often be found playing online at Full Tilt, playing high-stakes cash games up to $500-$1000 no-limit and $2000-$4000 limit under the tag Phil Ivey. According to HighStakesDB.com, Phil Ivey earned $1.99 million on FullTilt in 2007, $7.34 million in 2008, and $6.33 million in 2009.

I like how he said in the ESPN video that poker isn't gambling, its just like a job, that if he puts in enough hours, at the end of the year he will always be up.

Too much is being made about this 1 of 10,000 wagering opportunities bettors have throughout the year. Enough is enough. I think by focusing on this, it makes others feel bettor about their $500 loss perhaps. These guys don't think about the money like we do. It's some inate quality that they have either always had or developed. If another $2 mill type bet comes along tomorrow, they would do it all over again. Phil Ivey is "flush" from the poker boom. Full Tilt is a cash cow.

It is known that Billy Walters is banned from betting in most casinos and Ivey could easily get 7 fig bets whenever he wants. Ivey prolly got a share or something of the bet if it was for Walters, its not certain as Ivey is very private. Also he makes a ton in his share from FTP, could care less what he wins/loses at dice.
