It seems like every year somebody comes up with a new system to bet football. So with that being said, I thought I'd ask.

Only thing I will try to do differently this year is not ignore 'signs'. There was a game last year I felt really really good about, so I bet it accordingly. Then one day before the game, I'm hanging w/ a buddy who happens to be a diehard fan of the team I bet against. The type of guy who, when not working, only dresses in his teams clothing. He walks in wearing this huge grin and holding his team hat in his hands. He explains how as he was getting out of his car, a bird shit right onto his hat, which he explains is a sign of extremely good luck for his team to win, being that it was the teams hat that got shit on. I laugh. They end up winning. I don't care, I blame the birds shit.

I am a new first time father of a beautiful baby girl who is six months old. My new strategy is to use less sports information and more "gut feel" this year, however, not by choice, but by time constraints. I still feel I will do ok.

I will be carefully reading the words of jjgold and Compaqdikk throughout the football season. They each have much to disseminate, and the truth is usually somewhere in the middle of their respective opinions.

Also, I think the Patriots blowing that 18 point lead in the AFC championship game has signaled both the end of the beginning and the beginning of the end for them.

Systems come and go, they are all about timing. A system is as good as yesterdays stats, systems can bo bad at any time. If you follow a system you must play it out and not jump around from system to system.
