#8Yeah, was on right away. It wasn't as blatantly right-wing as I would have expected, but the group who paid for it (Focus on the Family) are definitely fundamentalist wingnuts.Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. #28Originally posted by Carseller4No they just hate it when people choose life. Why else would they be so opposed to this commercial?"OMG We can't have a commercial on the Super Bowl that encourages people not to kill their kids"...WTF...complete overreaction by the so-called pro-choice crowd.

#29Originally posted by DrStaleOr they oppose the hypocrisy of CBS allowing a right-wing group to put their commercial on tv while denying the same rights a gay-dating company. A right-wing group that also shows intolerance and ignorance on any number of issues.
IMO the worst commercial was the one that we all paid for....yep...you guessed it...the US Census.....we all paid for that one with our tax dollars.Comment -

#32Originally posted by Carseller4The right wing group actually had the money for the commercial. Turns out the gay site didn't. IMO the worst commercial was the one that we all paid for....yep...you guessed it...the US Census.....we all paid for that one with our tax dollars.
I'm all for free speech Nina, seems to me that CBS is the one against it.Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion. #34Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't CBS' response that they had already filled their slots but that commerical would be on the list if any of the ones could not meet their obligations?
And I heard a lady on a news show make a statement (this was a week or so ago) that this commerical was going to be labeled as one of love but it was really a hate filled 30 second message. Either she didn't see it before uttering those words or she and I have a huge difference of hate filled speech.Comment -

I agree that the commercial wasn't nearly as right-wing as I figured it would be, I'm guessing it was a tamer version than what was initially proposed.Originally posted by Dark HorseIf with religion you mean belief system, your belief system is your religion.
