Howard gave an update of sorts last week on the potential American Idol judging position. He seems to be actually considering it. He wouldn't reveal a lot, he did say however that it would take a boatload of money for him to join and he also hopes Ellen would quit the show if he came aboard. He then read an article in which Ellen Degeneres publicly asked 'American Idol' producers not to hire Howard.
