I remember the game, but I don't remember how long the played off the top of my head though. Anyways, If a game didn't play at least 55 minutes the bet is canceled I do believe.

Dan that 55 minutes generally applies for football. If it applied for basketball a game would have to go to at least double overtime for any game to be graded

Pico all wagers for that game were graded based on the score at the time. The general rule for basketball is 43 minutes for the game to be graded. One interesting note from that Pistons-Pacers game is that they were in the final minute and one point from covering the over (with multiple technical fouls upcoming), and all the books graded the over-under with the under winning. I can remember multiple people that night going either mad or ecstatic depending on the number they picked. There was one person in particular who had the over as the final leg of like a six teamer who was about to explode through his computer. I can remember thinking that the total would be graded as a push at the time....

Yes, all plays counted as final. The rule for basketball, football and hockey is that all plays including totals stand as long as there is 5:00 or less left at the time game is called off, thus the requirement for NBA is 43:00.

I'd like to add that I lost my Over bet by one or two points in the Artest game, a bet that was an obvious winner had play continued.

I am over it my now though!

McDonkey was trying to get you there. But he was more concerned about game getting over than the fans erupting into a riot.
