- Vietnam wins the title if: They win, draw, or lose by a single goal (1-0, 2-1, etc.). Even a 2-0 loss by the end of regulation would force extra time, as the away goals rule is not used.
- Thailand wins the title if: They win the match by a margin of 3 goals or more (e.g., 3-0, 4-1).
- Extra Time / Penalties occur if: Thailand wins the match by exactly a 2-goal margin (e.g., 2-0 or 3-1) at the end of 90 minutes, tying the aggregate score.
Tactical Expectations
- Vietnam: Coach Kim Sang-sik’s side can play a patient, structured game. They do not need to force the pace. Expect them to absorb pressure and use quick transitions to hit Thailand on the counter-attack.
- Thailand: Coach Anthony Hudson's "War Elephants" are forced to take major risks and push numbers forward from the start.
