(Tennis) Bjorn Borg interview

This interview is very revealing. He's the only guy who can understand:
1) Borg was SO good.
2) At WIMB 1980, McEnroe was ready to win. But Borg denied him.
3) I had always heard that he partied hard on the Mediterranean and lost his ambition.
4) Guess that's not true. Lost to ** at WIMB in 1981 and also at US Open.
5) Dealt with a lot of exposure. Felt like his fire was gone. Anyone else would keep cashing checks.

What an interview. Holy shit.

*Just my opinion. At his peak, I always thought Borg was the most un-beatable:
...Won 6 of 8 at French Open, 1974-81.
...Won 5 of 5 at WIMB, 1976-80.
...Really didn't travel to the Australian Open.

Will give my two cents on what happened to Borg:

1) I don't think that's an AI interview. I think those are his words.
2) Us mortals don't understand the Pro Athletes that put everything into their craft.
3) One way to look at it might be = McEnroe had passed him by. Why play 2nd-fiddle?
4) A top coach/athlete puts everything into it, they're often burnt out. Bjorn should have taken time off at the end of the '81 season and figured out a plan.
5) His coach saying "Five more years" is not a short-term gameplan. Bjorn surely could have worked on one area of his game (like many players do).

I viewed him as being un-beatable. Props to Johnny ** for getting over the line in 1981, b/c it wasn't easy.
