Chucky, he was great. No doubt about it. But what I recall most is that he was a really nice guy that never took himself so seriously that he didn't make you feel good about yourself in his presence. So down to earth and just a pleasure to be in his company.

My mentor had a really successful horse in Md. after Berry retired that won often and everybody loved. He came from last going 6 furlongs all the time and his running style kind of reminded you of Berry going down the sideline or towards the back of the end zone to catch a bomb from Unitas.
Mr. Dutrow named the horse JOHN U TO BERRY. RIP sir.

Very nice, str. Yes, Raymond was class.

One thing about the NFL in the 1960s:
*Packers were known as the Team of the 60s. Yes, Packers won more titles.
*But the Colts won more games. Sort of like the Steelers/Raiders in the 70s: Steelers won more titles, but the Raiders won more games.

...They played the very strange playoff game at GBAY. Colts were forced to start Matte as an emergency QB. Starr got injured early on the Defensive TD.
...Bratkowski came on, there wasn't much offense in the game. Colts led 10-7. Chandler tried the late FG.
...Look at Chandler's reaction, he knew that he missed it wide. But the refs weren't sure, they called it Good. Packers won in OT.

That play changed the rules to make the uprights longer. And the refs were placed under the goal-posts (instead of on the back-line).
...Packers went on to beat the Browns in the title-game. Hornung scored the TD in the mud.
