In early April, Clarke was arrested in Arkansas and booked on felony charges that included possession of a controlled substance — kratom, which is legal in Tennessee but controlled in Arkansas — and fleeing in excess of the speed limit.

Which makes sense, the guy ripped his Achilles, and was dealing with knee surgeries.
I tried kratom a couple of times. It's wicked nasty. I threw up; it wasn't pleasant.
What I don't understand is, he had legit, verifiable pain.
He had access, being in the NBA, to much better, prescription pain killers, like Oxy and such.
