strategy or just wing it when betting?
i keep trying to be more disciplined but once games go live i kinda just react in the moment tbh
sometimes i think having a plan helps, other times it feels like everything moves too fast to really stick to it
how do you guys usually do it? stick to a proper strategy or just go with it live?

    That's crazy talk:
    1) Mkt lines are tough to beat.
    2) Live lines are normally 30-cent juice.

Winging it is akin to lighting your $$ on fire.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Stick to your strategy. Pending on the sports I have several strategies and try to stick to them. It’s hard especially with live betting and the outcome you thought isn’t materializing.

      Good luck!

Always have a plan. But if your only wagering for your entertainment, it does not matter. Do whatever you have the most fun doing. U must know why your wagering.

After many many years of pissing away hard earned $$$$ , I created a 5 step process. When I dedicate myself to actually following it , I tend to do a lot better.
I find " live " wagering to be a lot like trading futures or options. Its all about time value vs an intrinsic value etc.
Most of the above relates to betting soccer

We all have a plan until until we get punched in the face. Meaning we have to have adaptability over rigid planning . Resilience comes from continuing to act despite obstacles. Let's face it, we all want action, sometimes we have to force it and even make plays though they don't fit our "plan". I think this is ok, providing you're not risking a large portion of your bankroll. It's just really hard for me when I get a couple bad beats and then really try to force shit. There's a tipping point when the universe is against every pick you make and then things can really spiral out of control. THAT"S where I just have to say ENOUGH, and live to fight another day where I don't get punched in the face. Good luck all!

Good points and good luck…. Important not to chase. Set the amount of loses and/or winnings for the week and walk away. Start over the next week and play hoping with the houses money! Remind yourself nobody makes a living gambling.

Great entertainment and fun playing/watching or following. Lose/win your own money never pay for a play.

Solid advice. Most people mess up by chasing instead of sticking to a plan. Setting limits and walking away is the hardest part but probably the most important. Doesn’t matter if it’s regular books or even bitcoin betting; the same rules apply. Gotta treat it as entertainment, not income.

Old school rules apply. Losing streaks usually are longer than winning ones…. Unless of course you’ve betting against Mets….

yeah i feel this a lot tbh. i’ll have a plan before games start and think “ok i’ll stick to this”, but once things are live it’s so easy to just react instead of actually following it properly
and that part you said about the tipping point is real… like one or two bad beats and suddenly you’re trying to get it back instead of just sticking to what you said you’d do

i think for me it’s less about being perfectly disciplined and more about noticing when i’m clearly off-plan and just stepping away before it gets worse

Live betting has the same impulse betting problem that people experience with slots. Need more action and its just a click away.

Good to see that you are self aware enough to not let it become an ongoing problem for you

Yeah that’s exactly how it goes, easy to have a plan but hard to stick to it once things go live. That tipping point hits fast after a couple bad beats. I’ve seen the same thing on bitcoin-betting too, stepping away at the right time really makes a difference.
