Mendoza sits behind Cousins for six to eight games; it makes sense to me.
Mendoza can study the defenses, etc., while backing up Cousins, and make his NFL debut when ready. With Cousins, there's no need to rush the kid.

Absolutely I agree! Let the kid learn and develop, he has pretty good support with Kirk, Brady, HC, and Tyler L their new center, future looks promising.
