Seahawks vs 49ers - Wrong team favorite? I think so.
I am from the Pacific North West so there's a bit of a fan in me with Seattle and I hope they win tomorrow.

But, who has been playing better than San Fran the last few games? Purdy is on fire and they are playing at home. What am I missing here that the bookies see? I

    am thinking 33-24 San Fran.

    49ers ML +128

also some interesting player prop bets to consider.

These players are hitting incentives in week 18:

Saquon Barkley 90+ total yards He needs 87 to get a $250,000 bonus which would bring him to 1500 yards. He plays the Commanders who allow the 3rd most rushing yards per game.

Tony Pollard 66+ rushing yards for $250,000 bonus. He has rushed for at least 85 yards in four straight but was held to 60 on 10 carries in the first meeting with the Jaguars.

49ers left tackle Trent Williams is likely out and he is bar none the most important player for them in terms of team performance. Over the years the 49ers have still won games with McCaffrey, Bosa, Warner and any other important player injured. When Williams is out, their offense is thrown completely out of whack and they are a totally different unit.

If Williams is indeed out, the seahawks defense gets a huge leg up...

This has just been an observation of mine over the past years when Williams is out. I would not bet the 49ers in any game that Williams does not play.

ya he's pretty important but didn't he get hurt early last game and they still won? I guess we will see. I don't trust Darnold still.

I never said that if Williams does not play, they will never win a game. Their offense is drastically compromised however. I was just answering your question as to why the seahawks are favored, do as you wish.

I did a little research on the 49ers with and without Williams since 2020:

2020-2023 they were 38-20 with Williams, 3-6 without.
2024 they were 5-5 with Williams and 1-6 without.

Trent Williams played a single snap last week. 1 play. Offense went over the top in the win.

Playing against a better defense this week, sure, I think they're ready.

The game is today not tomorrow. I live close to Seattle. So hoping for a easy win. Bet like $10

We will see what transpires but I can understand why SF moved to a dog. Heck, I thought SF would regress this year and they have proved me wrong in a big way.

1st and goal at the one.
Charbonnet wide open and Darnold decides to eat the ball.
4th and goal at the 4 and they don't kick the FG.

so far, it seems Seattle is ready for this one more than San Fran.
