3 NYC casinos get licenses for Vegas-style gaming – with first to open as early as March
I hope Steve Cohen does better with his casino than he has with his Mets.
At least there are tons of spaces to build over there.
Make me go to gamble at Bally's in the Bronx.
If I know the Bally folks like I think I know them, the table minimums will be green chips and up, and all the restaurants and shops will charge quadruple retail.
No thanks.
My take?
NYC does not need casino gambling; there's ample gaming right now as it is, especially in the northeast.
Boston, Springfield, and the two world-class casinos in CT, not to mention the geriatric blue-haired set that takes the buses to Atlantic City weekly.
Why on Earth would anybody volunteer to gamble in Atlantic City is beyond me, though.
