Lauri Markkanen scored a career-high 51 points, the first Jazz player to reach 50 in the regular season since Karl Malone in 1998, and Utah beat Phoenix 138-134 in overtime Monday night.

Have mentioned him being an excellent player. Has had injury problems. Very good player when healthy. And also one of the few Finnish players to ever play in NBA. Can you name the FIRST?

Funny, Chicago couldn't run him out of town fast enough, yet he'd be elected Mayor of Salt Lake City in a landslide if he chose to run.

And what's with the sharp shooting? 14 for 33 from behind the three-point line, after three games.
That's Steph Curry country, as a matter of fact, 33 three-point attempts lead the NBA in that category.
He's never demonstrated that kind of long-range consistency in the past.

Good on him, he works hard.
