                NOT peaking. That has to be a long time ago. I'm going to say:
                *Koufax. I seem to recall him throwing on short rest.
                ...If not him, I'll say Walter Johnson. Reason they called him the Big Horse. Pitchers threw on short rest back then.

                  Not Johnson, not Koufax; however, Sandy Koufax was the first player to win the World Series MVP twice in non-consecutive years for the same team.
