One of the NFL cappers has made a similar argument about the Ravens:
*As bad as they look, the schedule gets much easier. Could make a playoff run.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Without more serious injuries to key players, I will be very surprised if they are NOT in the playoffs.

They are not giving it to someone who missed multiple games and lost to teams that are better than his.

First off Lamar leads the NFL with a 130.5 QB rating. The dream scenario.
They play Thursday night when all eyes are on Lamar. They blow out Miami and the talk is what Lamar means to the team.
Balt goes on a run. Bal plays an awful defense Cinc on Thurs 11/27. The MVP talk starts with a blowout.
12/27 Bal vs GB in a game that means something. Date and time TBD. It goes primetime with a Bal win.
Steelers the last week. Another awful defense to end with.
Sure, it's a long shot but it's 100-1.

The season is not even half way yet. If he comes back and just kills it and a few of the top players miss some games, he could. On the flip side I just don't see that team turning it around. They might pull some wins and make the playoffs because they win the division. He has won a few already. I think that hurts.

Star running backs. Jonathan Taylor continued his MVP-worthy campaign with 174 total yards and another three touchdowns for the 7-1 Colts, who beat up on the 1-7 Titans; his pace is now 2,244 scrimmage yards and 30 touchdowns. (For reference, Saquon Barkley had 2,283 and 15 in 2024, though he wasn't MVP.)

The defense is also getting healthier.

This ^^^.
Baltimore for all the Derrick Henry, Lamar, tight ends, etc. is only going as far as their defense takes them. They were very depleted a several games ago and are getting healthy. That showed although not fully, against Chicago.
I know people see offense with Baltimore, but they will always only go as far as the defense takes them. It is the nature of that beast.

One nice thing about these 100-1 longshots is that it's easy to double the payout amount fast if you want out. It's another angle to look at.

What about odds for BALT to win AFC? That one sticks out to me:
*AFC standings are very skewed.
No way do I think Indy/NewEng are likely to keep ripping.
...Buff/KC are right now borderline to make the playoffs.
...PITT wins yesterday. Steelers won't be that tough to jump. And Ravens have plenty of games to gain ground.
Got me thinking now. Think this has a real chance. Who wins the AFC?

2 days ago I would have said KC should be a huge favorite. Then Buf dominated them yesterday since the score was closer than the game. Buf was without top starters on defense and Mahomes completes less than 50% for the first time in his career.
You may be able to get a better price on Bal by parlaying each game in the playoffs since they could be on the road against both Buf and KC. I like Indy too but parlaying is going to pay more.
