    ESPN and Fox Sports
Why do they feel compelled to have a five, sometimes six-person pre-game and halftime show?
No game, with the possible exception of the Super Bowl, needs that much attention.
Not only that, four of the five people in that booth are blowhards who step over the jabroni that's trying to speak (Usually yucking it up to something stupid)
    Nobody cares.

While I'm at it, Joel Klatt has officially worn me out, too.
Over/Under on how many times Klatt uses the word 'massive' 12.5

This is why I watch the Premier League on Saturday mornings until the football games start and these idiots quit talking. Don't need the drama before the games start.

Same here but around an hour before kickoff I’ll flip the channels between EPL and CBS sports channel which is pretty decent with info and some highlights. So much better than ESPN and FOX. Though they tend to lean a lot on PGA segments, since they cover it, but overall it’s straight forward info.

I agree Nash, these pregame shows are just too much. Even the nfl shows are not interesting. I don’t turn my tv on until 12pm Sat and 1pm Sun.

Hey, Nash. Respect your opinion. A few things:

          1) Pre-game (and Post-game) shows have long been overdone.
...I'll go one step further. After the Youtube videos started up, can you say OVER-EXPOSED? Who decided that people would be interested in any opinion attached to a video-camera?

          2) As for game-callers, I view it as an art-form.
...I've come to enjoy a great pairing who calls a solid game.
...Put me in the minority. I actually like Klatt and Gus. Gus is excited, and Klatt is pretty knowledgeable.
Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?

Gus is too excited. It’s definitely not interesting to listen to him. Give me any random person over that shtik.

My favorite is the interviews. The worthless interviews that have zero value and are a complete waste of time, yet we have to listen to these glorified clowns ask the dumbest questions possible. I know I can't wait to tune in to miss half the game because Buster is interviewing Lindors mom, dad, cousin, son, brother, nephew, his dog and cat, the bus driver, his extended family, all while he beats off to everything whatever superstar on the field does any chance he gets like he has never seen a homerun, catch, or pitch in his life.

                It's funny because it's true.
Buster is the biggest hack that ever came out of Hacksville.

There's a reason why we natives up here call ESPN Studios here "That Bristol Clown College"
ESPN hasn't been cool since Chris Berman was cool, and Chris Berman was never cool.

I used to love when Gus did NCAA tournament games years ago. He did a great job but like you said he is annoying and loud now. Guy is screaming into the mic about a 2 yard gain now.

'He was (IMO) a better college shortstop than college quarterback, but that doesn't change the fact that he's a blowhard.

It's a fine line. There have been some funny spoofs where Gus is going crazy over the layup line.

                        In Gus' defense:
                        1) He's not that young anymore.
                        2) I'm sure that he makes serious bank.
                        3) He gets excited on the job. I respect that. I like his work.

I'm sure that part of him is "don't say something stupid." Surely he wants to keep the Money Train going.

Everyone has their opinion on announcers. I think he does good work.

I met Gus between games at the Big East Tournament in NYC a few years ago.
One of the nicest guys I've ever met, even if it was only 40 seconds.
Doesn't change the fact that I can't listen to his hyperbole.

Good for him doesnt mean i have to like it. Greats like Rafftery are older than him but doesn't act like every little play just won the national championship.

Agreed, the guy is annoying hyping up every little thing as if it was groundbreaking.
