I'll rejoice when Mara fires Dabol. Until then, I hope the Colts and Danny Dimes win the SB.

I think you mean Winston, an honest mistake though.

Hi, Raider. I like Dart. Not everyone realizes how good he is.

My one concern about this game = status of kicker Gano. His groin injury impacted the game last week. Giants signed another kicker (Koo). So, I'm thinking he's < 100%.

He should be a lot better since they do have some talent. The front 7 on defense is good and Nabers on offense. They should be able to scheme so Nebers isn't taken out of the game again.

Nash, if you get an update on Gano, plz post here. If I play the Giants, I want to have a healthy Gano. Don't want: a) a gimpy Gano or b) the kicker that the Falcons just waived (Koo).

Typical move by the Giants throwing their 1st round pick QB into the fire without much of a plan or oline to protect him. Dart will likely lose confidence throughout the season and be on another team within 2-3 years.

Very fun. Legit upset but Nabers done for year? Alt? Met Life turf man... maybe there's something about that leads to injury - curious if it claims more than other turf fields.

                              1) Props to Daboll on starting Dart. Buys him a few more weeks.
                              2) Tough break on Nabers.
                              3) They won w/ a replacement Kicker.

Yes, that field has taken out 16 guys the last few years. Put in grass.

Met Life turf (so I'm told) is like running on a 100-yard slab of cement covered with green artificial grass.
I've never heard a player say, "I like playing at Met Life."
Not only that, the winds are brutal in mid-December.
I grew up in the swamps of Jersey, I know, I was at a Cowboys game at Met Life ten years ago, it was horrendous, and those extended TV timeouts that we had to sit through in 12-degree weather, with those winds swirling in the upper deck, there wasn't enough booze available to ease all that.

Giants look good with Dart although a lot may have been emotion against the Chargers. The stats are misleading since Skattebo's average looked low because of all the carries on the goal line. Dart made some big time runs. The defense looked good. I'm definitely in the minority with this opinion.

Chargers oline is in shambles after losing both high end tackles, Slater and Alt. The interior of the oline was awful last year and not much better this year. Long story short, I would not put too much stock into that Giants win although Dart made numerous 3rd down conversions with his legs.

As a Giants fan, the Nabers injury is devastating., The Tracy injury hurts, too, but he's an RB2. Nabers is already elite.
In reality, it may be a blessing in disguise.

The Gee-Men weren't going to sniff a WC this year, even with a 100 percent roster.
Now I can see a heavy dose of Skataboo. I like the kids' grit.
Theo Johnson, the Penn State TE, should see a couple of more targets per game. I think he's legit, now I can see how 'legit'.

I like to see fat Daboll use two tight end sets with Bellinger. That's another kid who has heart and likes to block.

I love Wan'dale. I'm expecting him to step up as the alpha wideout. I don't trust Stonehand Slayton, not at all.

Even without Nabers and a rook QB, the road game in New Orleans is winnable. I'll even accept a 24-21 clean loss.

By clean, I mean no turnovers, no silly penalties, a game that you get nipped at the end, on the road, I'd be OK with, if it's clean.

Two factors: Daboll has some faith in Singletary, who is the primary special teams returner these days, and doubles as the ancillary RB.
The emergency RB3, if you will. My concern is if Skat underachieves, and gives Singletary extra touches, when Tracy does return, he may become the third back, while serving as the Special teams returner. Providing Skat should falter. The feeling here, though, is Daboll didn't exhaust that high draft pick to be any lower on the RB1b on the Giants' food chain.

I was checking out some other pertinent data (What can I tell you, 'geek' is my middle name. I'll accept 'nerd' as well)
Even though the sample size isn't large enough to form an accurate analysis, Singletary's yards per carry is .5 better than Tracy's.
Dart may very well be the best running back on the roster right now.

I want to see 100 carries from a back after eight games, not just twenty carries after four games.
The Giants as a team have three rushing TDs. When you put that into perspective, 16 different running backs have three or more TDs alone, the most startling nugget I just came across is that after four games, and 69 rush attempts (6th most carries from a RB thus far)
CMC has yet to score a rush TD.

                                            *not for nothing*
Daniel Jones has three total rush TDs alone, matching the Giants' team total of three.
Jonathan Taylor, Jones' beast in his backfield, also has three rush TDs.
That's the formula I'd like to see adapted, use Dart and Skat, to set up the pass to Nabers (once he returns), the way Steinchen uses Jones and Taylor. Steinchen drafted a beefy tight end out of Penn State *(Tyler Warren) to help out with blocking at the line; the Giants have a similar type of tight end (Bellinger) and another stud tight end from Tight End University (Theo Johnson)
I would like to see the Giants run more two-tight-end sets. Looking around the rest of the league, most teams use two-tight end schemes regularly. Some teams run three tight-end sets.

As I was saying, four games are too small a sample size.
An analyst (as defined in my job description )
Gather all pertinent facts and data available as they pertain to the issue at hand.
Look for trends and patterns in that data.
Once you're set with the data collection and analytics, form a professional conclusion based on that data.
Ninety percent of the time, my bosses prefer a written report of the analysis, and recommendations can be made.
Most think it's boring, I love it, the only pain in the ass is the detailed technical writing involved.

It's too soon to form an educated conclusion after four games; the data is still incomplete.

Earns doubtful tag for Week 5
                                              October 3, 2025
Tracy (shoulder) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's contest at New Orleans, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

                                              ANALYSIS
Tracy practiced Friday for the first time since dislocating his right shoulder Week 3 against the Chiefs, with head coach Brian Daboll noting that the running back is "a lot better," per Salomone. Considering his listing ahead of Week 5 action, however, Tracy isn't a serious candidate to play. Assuming Tracy is confirmed to be inactive about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, the Giants again will turn to rookie Cam Skattebo to lead the backfield, with Devin Singletary available for any backfield reps that linger.
