SBR's Esten McLaren shares his 2025 Ryder Cup predictions:

Pick to win: Team Europe (+175 bet365)

"Consistency and experience are my biggest factors when setting out to bet on the Ryder Cup, and for that reason I'm backing Team Europe to win the Ryder Cup at +175 odds from bet365.

J.J. Spaun earned his way onto Team USA as the second automatic qualifier, but this will be his first Ryder Cup appearance. Russell Henley, Cameron Young, and Ben Griffin also make their debuts, while Rasmus Hojgaard is the only debutant for Team Europe.

The Europeans also had the luxury of being able to use a captain's pick on Rahm who failed to qualify in limited action from the LIV Series. This helped ensure their roster was composed of the best golfers over the course of the 2025 golf season."

              Top point scorer bets:

"I'm making several picks in the top point scorer markets, as the heightened odds for multiple tickets while still being able to turn a profit. All odds from DraftKings:"

Top point scorer: Cameron Young (+2200)

Top point scorer: Tyrrell Hatton (+2200)

Top point scorer: Shane Lowry (+8000)

              Top debutant: Cameron Young (+250)

Top wild card: Ludvig Aberg (+750)

Top wild card: Viktor Hovland (+1100)

Top American point scorer: J.J. Spaun (+2000)

Top Europe point scorer: Matt Fitzpatrick (+1400)

Andy, we'll see if there are any fist-acuffs. Golfers acting like big tough-guys.

You are right on one thing. Ryder Cup has a strangely strong HFA. Like there's an intimidation factor.

Check out SBR's Dustin Saracini's top Ryder cup prop picks:

                    U.S. Day 1 winner (-105 via FanDuel)

"This play is simple - win the day, and you have a winning wager on your hands. With the crowd heavily in favor of Team USA with the tournament being played in New York, you can guarantee they will come out of the gates locked in.

Make no mistake, home-court advantage is huge in this tournament - the host team has won each of the past five matchups (Collin Morikawa has also called for "chaos" come tournament time). Team USA has also beaten Team Europe on Day 1 in each of the last three Ryder Cups, and this trend is going to play out one more time at home."

Justin Thomas 1.5 points or less (-105 via FanDuel)

John Rahm top European scorer (+400 via FanDuel)

"Jon Rahm is built for the big stage, more specifically, the Ryder Cup, where he has an overall record of 6-3-3. As a result, these juicy odds found at FanDuel are too good to pass up as we go through our best Ryder Cup prop picks.

Rahm is undoubtedly in good form entering the tournament, too, after clinching the LIV Golf individual championship in Indianapolis. Now, Rahm has played just once at Bethpage Black, and he did miss the cut. However, he's since elevated his game (see the LIV individual championship) and fits major championship courses like this one well.

Rahm ranked second behind only Bryson DeChambeau in strokes gained: off-the-tee this season at LIV and finished sixth in SG: approach on short approach shots. With the United States setting up the course to create shorter approach shots, I expect him to handle his business this weekend."

Rory McIlroy 2.5 points or more (-150 via DraftKings)

"If there's a player who embodies Team Europe and what they stand for, it's Rory McIlroy. After finally reaching the pinnacle of his career and winning the 2025 Masters, completing his Grand Slam, McIlroy can put an exclamation point on his incredible season with a quality outing at Bethpage Black.

As the most experienced player between the two teams, expect McIlroy to put on a show this weekend.

"Winning another away Ryder Cup, just considering how hard that has been over the past 12 years, it would be one of the greatest accomplishments of my career for sure," he said in a press conference.

I have my money on him securing three points for Team Europe."

Collin Morikawa 2 or more total points (-110 via DraftKings)

Scottie Scheffler top overall points scorer (+500 via FanDuel)

Andy, here it is. Rory been hitting the weights. Acting like a tough-guy:
Rory McIlroy cursed at the crowd after they were yelling during his pre-shot routine in the morning foursomes session, and the heckling continued to ramp up in the afternoon four-balls.

Absolute bloodbath. The Euros just seem to have it in this event, definitely more of a cohesive team than the Americans. Making every putt in sight also helps lol.

Andy, I read about a funny incident. This woman (the **) is stepping down. I guess she's on tape trying to rile up the fans with a "F*** you, Rory" chant. LOL:
A master of ceremonies has stepped down from her role at the Ryder Cup after joining the Bethpage Black crowd in directing expletive-laced chants toward Rory McIlroy.

I told you that this (Ryder Cup) is a weird event.

That would have been quite the drama if the half point from Hovland pulling out ended up mattering.

Hell of a rally by the Americans but they have to figure out the alternate shot and fourball pairings for 2027 in Ireland.
