As much as I hate him for choosing Evil Empire over Giants, he did put up across the board better stats than Cal. Cal reminds me of McGwire where he basically broke HR record but that’s it. Big Mac didn’t win MVP in ‘98 and Cal won’t win it, either.

You are missing something in your analysis. Offensively, you are mostly correct. Defensively, Raleigh plays the toughest position and is a good defensive catcher so he adds value there as well. Judge has been a DH for a good portion of the year. This could be the deciding factor for those on the fence in a close race.

I'm rooting for The Dumpster; he'll lose some East Coast votes, though.
East Coast Bias is real, it's not fair, but that's the way it is.
Pick 'em is a very sharp line, razor sharp, and I'm not going to give the books 15 cents in juice on a coin flip.

I'm on Raleigh. Plays the field and he plays the catcher. It's been a long time someone's done this.

But maybe voters are like me, don’t pay attention to defense in baseball. I don’t think it will make much difference but I’m no expert. Should get interesting come voting time.

              What's up Jake?

As for your point about Cal yes he is a good catcher as well. He has hit allot of homers this year.

I was looking at the ten greatest catchers seasons and none of them ever hit below.283. Most well over. 300 with great seasons. Hitting.246 is a big problem for me. They can give him the MVP I could care less but that batting average is not good.

Isn't defense part of the game? It should definitely factor into the decision.

Laker, hope all is well on the road and cooking up some nice meals from time to time? Everything good here, can't really complain.

I agree his batting average is not great but his run production has been very good. Anyways, I would like to see Cal win but they will probably give it to Judge.

Cut-off date is 10/1 to place a bet but when do they announce the winner?

                      Agree. I can’t play into a 15 cent line.

                      The juice is too much.

Judge joins McGwire, Sosa an d another great Yanks, Babe Ruth, as the 4rh player to hit 50 HRs 4x!

                          Raleigh now the clear favorite:
