You're better off just ignoring his ramblings.

Wonder if AI can make easier to read sense of it?

That post is a chaotic but passionate rant from user OldBill, who’s trying to eliminate NFL teams from Super Bowl contention after just two weeks of the 2025 season. Here's a cleaned-up summary:

            OldBill’s Criteria for Elimination

He suggests eliminating teams based on:
            • Poor records (especially 0–2 starts)
            • Rookie head coaches
            • Playing international games (London/Ireland)
            • Being featured on the cover of the NFL playbook (he believes this is a curse)
            • Low point differential (Points For vs Points Against)

            Teams He Wants Eliminated

These teams are called out for bad starts, coaching changes, or other “cursed” traits:
            • Panthers, Bears, Bengals, Browns, Texans, Chiefs, Raiders, Dolphins, Vikings, Saints, Giants, Jets, Titans
            • He also throws shade at teams like the Steelers (mocking Rodgers as QB), Eagles (lost defenders), and Cowboys (playbook cover curse).

            Underlying Message

OldBill is using early-season stats and personal theories (like playbook cover curses and rookie coaches) to argue that many teams are already out of Super Bowl contention. It’s more emotional than analytical, but it reflects how some fans react quickly to early-season trends

using Old Bills criteria which teams would be eliminated after week 2 2024 and what was the final season record for those teams?

Using OldBill’s criteria from his SBR rant—eliminating teams after Week 2 based on poor starts, rookie head coaches, overseas games, playbook cover curses, and negative point differentials—here’s a list of teams that would’ve been eliminated after Week 2 of the 2024 NFL season, along with their final season records:

Teams Eliminated by OldBill’s Criteria (Week 2, 2024)
Carolina Panthers 0–2 –60 3–14 Worst PD in league
Los Angeles Rams 0–2 –37 4–13 Crushed early, never recovered
New York Giants 0–2 –25 5–12 Weak offense all season
Tennessee Titans 0–2 –14 3–14 Rookie HC, poor defense
Denver Broncos 0–2 –13 10–7 Surprise playoff team
              Baltimore Ravens 0–2 –10 12–5 ❌ Would’ve been wrongly eliminated
Jacksonville Jaguars 0–2 –8 4–13 Inconsistent all year
Indianapolis Colts 0–2 –8 8–9 Just missed playoffs
              Cincinnati Bengals 0–2 –7 9–8 Finished strong
              Miami Dolphins 1–1 –18 8–9 Midseason collapse
              Washington Commanders 1–1 –14 12–5 ❌ Would’ve been wrongly eliminated
Las Vegas Raiders 1–1 –9 4–13 No playoff pulse
              Dallas Cowboys 1–1 –9 7–10 Disappointing finish
Atlanta Falcons 1–1 –7 6–11 Rookie HC, weak offense
New York Jets 1–1 –6 5–12 Rodgers struggled
Cleveland Browns 1–1 –11 3–14 Worst defense in league

              Summary
              • 17 teams would’ve been eliminated under OldBill’s logic.
              • 4 of those teams made the playoffs: Ravens, Broncos, Commanders, Bengals.
              • His criteria would’ve wrongly eliminated multiple contenders, but did catch most bottom-feeders.

Want me to simulate how this logic would’ve worked in 2023 or track how many of these teams beat expectations week by week? Could be fun to build a “Bill-proof” model.

I'm sceptical of the data it comes up with. And fear if we rely on it for the wrong things it will mislead us badly and in a long term damaging way.

But it is awesome for rewording and validating claims in posts.

Well, after growing up and getting old, I realized that most of what was on the internet in the early days, or rather, AL OT of what was passed around, was false... and I grew up thinking it was true.

                      Like those old 'Random Facts'.

I don't think it will be far off from that. As people get older and go through experiences, they will come to learn the truth.

Didnt even look closely at the numbers but would have been more surprised if they were all 100% correct.

I took it as the ai forecasting for this year, not looking back at last year. At least that’s what I thought Bill was saying, after two weeks eliminate these teams from contention and the ai for whatever reason is forecasting their records. But Rams are 2-0, so not sure

In the second post I asked Copilot how Old Bills logic would have worked in 2024. That Rams record for 2024 is what Jake pointed out as wrong.
